A new call for Innovation Partnership Grants between Swiss academia and Japanese innovation agents including industry and start-ups is now open. All scientific disciplines including social sciences and humanities are eligible. Selected projects will receive funding up to 20k CHF for a duration of up to 12 months.
The Innovation partnership grants support the establishment of collaborations between Swiss researchers from universities, universities of applied sciences or public research institutes with non-academic innovation agents. Partnerships with Japan, as well as China (incl. Hong Kong and Taiwan), South Korea and ASEAN member states are eligible. These agents can be corporates, SMEs or start-ups, innovation parks or similar entities with a focus on applied sciences or technical development.

The call is announced by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), as the Leading House mandated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), to promote and foster scientific cooperation with key institutions in Asia for the funding period 2017-2020.
