Congratulations to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich (ETH Zurich) which is now in the top 10 and its sister institution in Lausanne EPFL for joining the world’s best 15, according to the most recent QS World University Ranking 2015/2016.
ETH Zurich, ranked No. 9, was one of the only two universities that nudged its way into the ten best schools together with the University of Chicago.
By category, the biggest improvement from the previous year came in “Citations per Faculty”. The ranking of EPFL jumped from 60 in 2014/2015 to 17 while that of ETH Zurich rose from 44 to 21.
On a side note, the highest ranked Swiss university in this category is the University of Bern in No. 11.
