This year again, the S&T Office Tokyo represented Swiss universities at the Waseda University international study abroad fair that took place on October 7 . This event was an opportunity to showcase the quality of Switzerland’s higher education with a booth and also promote Switzerland by giving a presentation on Switzerland’s high quality of life. Most of the students interested in studying abroad in Switzerland were fascinated by the Swiss scenery as well as the highly ranked and international universities as well as the support offered by Swiss universities to exchange students.
“When I watched TV, I was fascinated by the scenery of Switzerland. I also have an image of Switzerland greatly supporting exchange students” said Kana a student interested in doing a semester abroad at Lausanne University to learn law and economics.
The Swiss universities represented where mainly the ones having an exchange agreement with Waseda University: UNIL; UNIGE; UZH; UNIBE and UNISG offering therefore a large amount of study fields that led to a great interest from the Waseda students.
