Like every year, the Science & Technology Office was promoting Swiss Universities at the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) at Meiji University in Tokyo on May 19th and at the International House in Osaka on May 20th.
Over the course of the weekend, our booth attracted over a hundred students from every walk of like, from highschoolers and their parents, to grad students looking for a PhD position.
To help them find the most useful information for their studies and stay in Switzerland – from how to apply for a Master’s degree, applying for a visa or finding living accommodations – we were helped by students from Swiss universities that are currently on an exchange year in Japan. We hope that visitors could receive the best tips from students firsthand.
The event was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan to promote institutions of higher learning located in Europe to the Japanese public. We are thankful to have been able to represent the Swiss Universities at EHEF. Additionally, we would like to express our thanks to the organizers, and in particular Richard Kelner, for their flawless organization and are already looking to next year’s edition !
We also give our thanks to the students that helped out tirelessly: Luzius and Julien from the University of St. Gallen, Kenta from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETHZ) and Adrien from the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL).
