Nano Tech 2016 (Jan 27-29, Tokyo Big Sight), the International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference, again also featured a Swiss Pavilion. Five companies, the same number as at last years’ exhibition, showcased their nanotechnology products in the categories ‘Materials’, ‘IT & Electronics’ and ‘Life’. Four other Swiss companies were present through their local distributor.
This proves, according to the pavilion’s organizer, that Swiss technology is in demand in the nano-level applications, especially when it comes to precision fabrication and measurement equipment.
Visitors showed vivid interest in the exhibits. Although there is a certain scope for improvement in terms of participating private companies, Nano Tech 2016 can be considered a success and a Swiss Pavilion for the 2017 edition of the exhibition (Feb 15-17, 2017, Tokyo Big Sight) is in the planning phase already. Again, the Swiss Pavilion will offer a good value-for-money-opportunity to present technology in Japan and Asia.
