Japan Student Services Organization
JASSO is an independent administrative institution established under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho). JASSO comprehensively administers scholarship loan programs, support programs for international students, and student support programs.
Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship (Research Students)
MEXT offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as research students or who wish to study Japanese under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program. For full information and application please click here (Japan section).
Exchange Grants for Young Scientists
The program will fund research stays of PhD students for a duration of 3 to 6 months and is open to all scientific fields including social sciences and humanities.
The main purpose of the exchange program is to foster and facilitate the direct exchange between Japanese and Swiss research groups and to enable the mobility of young researchers such as PhD students.
