1) Requirements
English communication skills
Electrical/ electronics major (knows the basics of electric circuits)
Interest in the business of Otowa Electric as a manufacturer specializing in lightning
Minimum 6-month commitment

2) Conditions
Salary (living allowance): 150,000 yen per month (after deductions)
Furnished apartment room close to work in Amagasaki, Hyogo

3) Possible tasks
Analysis of rival companies’ products/services
Supporting lightning experiments, data organization
Translation of technical materials
Assisting designs

JET Programme 2017

  • This year, two positions for Swiss applicants are available for the JET Programme (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme), offering young foreign university graduates to work at schools or in local authorities offices. Recruitment:

  • 1 Assistant Language Teacher (ALT)
    Contracting Organisation: Myoko City (Niigata Prefecture)
    Placement: Kogen Junior High School

  • 1 Coordinator for International Relations (CIR)
    Contracting Organisation: Oyamazaki Town (Kyoto Prefecture)
    Placement: Board of Education of Oyamazaki Town

  • Arrival in Japan and start of contract (for both positions): July 30, 2017
  • Application deadline: April 10, 2017


Scholarships towards an Internship in Japan



Successful candidates will have a background in business administration, economics, engineering, informatics, international law or similar areas of study. In addition, they will already have acquired a solid basic knowledge of spoken and written Japanese (hiragana, katakana and approximately 200 kanji) before departing for Japan.

Note: The scholarship committee has newly adopted two application deadlines per year as of January 2017.
