Swiss Solar Pavilion and Swiss Cleantech Seminar at Asia’s Biggest PV Expo

The Science & Technology Office Tokyo organized the Swiss Solar Pavilion at Asia’s biggest photovoltaics exposition, PV Expo, taking place every year at the end of February. This year’s participants from Switzerland included the three federal institutions Empa, EPFL and ETH Zurich, as well as Airlight Energy Manufacturing, CSEM, glass2energy, IBM Research Zurich, Hilti (Japan) and Swissolar.

Prof. Leibundgut's NHK Interview

Right on the first day, ETH Zurich’s Prof. Dr. Hansjürg Leibundgut was interviewed by the national television station NHK to present his 2SOL system. The participants presented their latest technologies, products and research results at the Swiss Cleantech Seminar that took place in the vicinity of PV Expo 2014. The seminar was organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in collaboration with ABB Japan. The seminar was opened by Ambassador Urs Bucher; ABB Japan’s Country Manager, Mr. Tony Zeitoun, closed the seminar with an interesting speech on the future of cleantech and cleantech-enabling technologies.
