Swiss Medical Technology Seminar in Kobe
One day before the exposition “Medtech Japan 2014”, the Science & Technology Office Tokyo together with the Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation (FBRI) in Kobe organized the first “Swiss Medtech Symposium Kobe”.
The event started with an opening speech by the Managing Director of Kobe Cluster, FBRI, followed by a presentation on the Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster given by Mr. Gregory Rall, International Relations Manager of FBRI. The Swiss participants then were given a tour through the premises of MEDDEC.
In a second part, after an introduction by the Chief Director of JETRO Kobe, Mr. Hisashi Yamada, the head of the Science and Technology Office Tokyo presented the Swiss Medtech Landscape and their collaboration with Swiss universities. The four participating Swiss companies then introduced their business and their companies, creating great interest among the more than 50 Japanese participants. During the networking reception the discussions continued and will surely lead to increased collaborations in the near future. The Swiss participants at the Medtech Seminar in Kobe were: Cendres & Metaux SA, Sensirion, SGS Japan Inc, Maxon Japan Corp.
All the Swiss participants are also present with a booth at Medtec Japan which is taking place from April 9-11, 2014, exhibiting Swiss innovativeness and excellence in Japan.
