The ETH Zurich spin-off u-blox AG is one of Switzerland’s most successful IoT-related companies. With more than 750 employees it is — together with Sensirion — also one of ETH Zurich’s biggest spin-offs.
The company is well-known for smallest GPS receivers and integrated solutions in the domain of short- and long-range communication. In the last few years, through several international M&A’s, u-blox has expanded both its portfolio range and market outreach.
u-blox Japan is present both in Tokyo and in Osaka with 12 employees.
This summer, u-blox Switzerland will send their Navigation Software Engineer, Dr. Cecile Mongredien, to teach at the “Summer School on GNSS 2016” (GNSS: Global Navigation Satellite System) organised by the Institute of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing of Japan and co-sponsored by the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. At the Summer school, Dr. Mongredien will be lecturing on High precision GNSS (RTK mainly).
