The Science & Technology Office Tokyo of the Embassy of Switzerland successfully organized the Swiss Medtech Pavilion at MEDTEC Japan, Asia’s largest trade-show dedicated to the design and manufacturing of medical devices.
The eight Swiss participants exhibiting under the Swiss umbrella were fully satisfied not just with the expo and the contacts they could make, but also with the design and the organization of the Swiss Medtech Pavilion. The eight exhibitors covered a wide range of entities: universities (EPFL & ETHZ, University of Zurich), a young startup (Nanolive), a public-private-partnership (CSEM), clusters (Micronarc, Bioalps) and from industry a device manufacturer (MST).
During the networking reception hosted by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Japan, H.E. Urs Bucher, Dr. Erika Györvary of CSEM gave an interesting overview over the Swiss Medtech Landscape. The Swiss participants then had time to mingle and network with their customers, partners and potential future distributors.
