The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is offering different fellowship programs to give opportunities for excellent researchers from around the world to come to Japan to conduct scientific collaboration with their Japanese colleagues.
As a nomination body, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) can propose two Swiss researchers to the JSPS in 2018. This call provides an opportunity to conduct collaborative research for young overseas researchers under the guidance of their hosts in universities and other research institutions in Japan for 12 to 24 months.
Researchers from all fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences are eligible to apply.
Deadline to apply: March 30, 2018
Decision: middle of August 2018
Periods for arrival in Japan: September 1, 2018-November 30, 2018
