Call now open for Swiss-Japanese joint research projects on hydrogen technology

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has just opened a call for joint research project proposals from Japanese-Swiss collaborative teams on the subject of “Hydrogen as a renewable energy carrier” and other hydrogen related technologies. The call is part of the Strategic Japanese-Swiss Science and Technology Programme, which aims to bring together Swiss and Japanese researchers on specific research questions.

The call will be open until Tuesday 14th November, 18:00 (Japanese time). The earmarked budget on both sides will allow for the funding of three projects, for a period of up to three years each.

Proposals oriented towards emerging technologies or ideas based on innovative concepts are highly encouraged, but applicants are free to select their own topics within the above-indicated thematic field.

For more detailed information, and the relevant application documents, please refer to the joint call document  as well as the SNSF and JST websites .
