ETH Zürich moves up one rank!

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich has gained one place in the “QS World University Rankings” since last year. Therefore, ETH Zurich is again the best university in continental Europe, followed by EPFL Lausanne, who ranks fourteenth, the same as last year.

The main factor contributing to this renewed success can be traced back to the university’s good academic reputation, but also to their ongoing internationalisation efforts as well as to the high quality of life in Switzerland. All these points help attract some of the best researchers, students and professors in the world.

At the top of the ranking lies the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) followed by Stanford and Harvard. The other Swiss universities were ranked as follows: University of Zurich (80, +5); Geneva (95, -6); Lausanne (138, +5); Basel (141, -2); Bern (181, -15 ) and St-Gallen (288 +41).

Let’s hope that this great ranking will attract even more top researchers and students from all over the world!
