Swiss experts meet with Vice Presidents of Japan’s top research universities

ProfOris_KeioProf. Michel Oris, Vice-Rector of the University of Geneva met with executives of a consortium of 11 top Japanese research universities, RU11, to exchange their experiences aimed at achieving excellence in research and innovation.

The event co-hosted by the Science & Technology Office Tokyo, Embassy of Switzerland in Japan and Elsevier resulted in fruitful discussions among the participants.

Dr. Fabrizio Arigoni, Head of Nestlé Research Centre Asia was a special guest. His insight as to the advantages and challenges of conducting collaborative research in Japan from his hands-on experiences in the country was highly appreciated by all of the participants.

The two Swiss experts were originally invited to Japan as speakers to the 3rd Asia Pacific Research Intelligence Conference held at Keio University.
