APAIE – Swiss Universities meet their Asian Counterparts in Beijing

Delegates from the international offices of Swiss Universities gathered in Beijing during APAIE, the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education. At the same time the Science & Technology Offices from Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo as well as Swissnex Shanghai and Singapore met to discuss the enhanced collaboration in Asia. The Science Counselors also held a meeting with the University delegates to learn about challenges related to the internationalization and to student exchanges between Switzerland and Asia.

Several Swiss Universities met their counterparts from the Japanese partner universities at APAIE in Beijing and discussed collaboration. During the reception hosted by the Swiss Ambassador to China, H. E. Jean-Jacques de Dardel, many new connections could be made between Swiss & Asian universities.

The Beijing Science & Technology Team around Science Counselor Nektarios Palaskas and his colleague Ms. Chenchen Liu did a fantastic job in the organization of the Switzerland related events around APAIE and in making the Swiss delegates feel at home in far-away China.
